Jozef  Korolkiewicz performing on the stage of Warsaw’s Opera in 1947 as the barber from Sevilla in Rossini’s opera “Il Barbiere di Siviglia”. The title-role in this opera was, maybe, Jozef’s greatest success as an opera singer.
Other important roles of Jozef Korolkiewicz were e.g.: nobleman Janusz in “Halka” (Moniuszko), servant Maciej in “Straszny Dwor” (Moniuszko), soldier Valentin in “Faust” (Gounod), corporal Morales in “Carmen” (Bizet), Silvio in “Pajazzo” (Leoncavallo), Count Ceprano in “Rigoletto” (Verdi), USA Consul - Sharpless in Madame Butterfly (Puccini).
