18 year old Jozef Korolkiewicz
and his older brother Zbigniew (left) volunteered for the Poland’s war
against the Soviet Russia 1920. Some of the young artist’s drawings - directly
from the war front - also survived World War II and can still be seen today.
After the outbreak of World
War II, Jozef Korolkiewicz joined the army and took part in the defense
of Warsaw 1939.
